Mammalian Cell Culture Clarification
 

Choices of clarification methodologies can vary from large area depth pre-filters to centrifugation depending upon various cell culture characteristics such as quantum of total solids, cell density colloidal particles, and turbidity.

For example for perfusion reactors, where cell cultures have high solid control and cell densities with high turbidity, centrifugation is the preferred method.
