mdi Express Midi Kit is a very high speed system to obtain high yield (up to 200µg) of high concentration, high purity pDNA from bacterial cultures. DNA Purity pDNA purified with mdi Express Midi Kit exhibits an A260/ A280 ratio of 1.8-2.0 in 10mM Tris-Cl, pH 8.5.
The mdi Express Midi system uses a specially designed filtration device to do away with time consuming centrifugation steps, for filtering out bacterial mass from culture solutions. The kit also incorporates unique vacuum systems in order to avoid lengthy washing and elution steps by gravity and finally a special precipitator column, to achieve ultra pure, high concentration pDNA. The bound DNA is eluted in small volumes of very low salt concentration buffer, to offer > 1µg/µl pure plasmid DNA.
